On a recent day trip to Charlie Moreland camping area, I was surprised to be reminded of the popularity of BlackWolf tents, with three in the camping ground.
I am a fan of BlackWolf tents. I own a Turbo Plus 300 and was recently given the opportunity to test the new 2012/13 model Turbo Plus 240 tent. When we stayed on Stradbroke Island at Adder Rock Holiday Park, there were three BlackWolf tents in the camping ground, including my own Turbo Plus 300 (see photos here).
BlackWolf tents are premium tents. They are high quality, but not cheap. When I first started camping with my young family several years ago, I would rarely spot them in camping grounds. Now with around ten years of history and production, and their reputation for quality and robust performance in poor weather, the tents are becoming much more common.
BlackWolf tents at Charlie Moreland camping area
While staying at Dicky Beach Holiday Park on the Sunshine Coast, we went for a day trip to the Conondale Ranges and visited Charlie Moreland camping area (see photos here). Despite the camping ground having only a dozen or so families camping there, there were three BlackWolf tents, all on different sites!
Interestingly, the three tents were three different styles too. There was a Turbo tent, a Turbo Plus and a Turbo Twin.
Charlie Moreland camping area is at the more rugged end of the camping ground scale. Most of the people camping there would be more experienced campers. It is an interesting then that three of the camping groups had chosen BlackWolf tents. I guess that is a great endorsement of the gear.
